Dear Linden Lab,

I GREATLY appreciate you putting my shop Savoir Faire Shapes in the destination guide, I truly do! So I don't want to come off as being an ungrateful twit when I say this. 

Having your new staff member wear one of my demos to retake a picture in my store to use in the Destination Guide when that staffer looks like they came out of SL circa 2006 does my shop a disservice and Second Life a disservice. You set forth a lot of requirements in submitting a location so the least you can do in return is make sure that your staff look presentable and up to date too. I was so excited to see my place added to the guide but then when I saw the picture I submitted wasn't used, well, I wasn't that excited anymore. Seriously, I mean no offence to the Linden who took the time to come and add my place but this look does my business no justice. If I were a customer I wouldn't come to my shop after seeing this picture as I often don't when the pictures or avatars look outdated.

I've said it many times and I'll say it again. Most hair bores the shit outta me in SL. The new release called Mau486 I found at booN does not. Have a look at this awesome hair that only cost 100L each. I purchased the Blonde and Brown..be jealous.

Rotten Toe sent over their new release called BlacknWhite Dress. It's really groovy. Has a lot of attachment like HORNS. Can't beat that with a stick. You get some options with the outfit, wear the wireskirt alone or don't. Change up your socks or don't. We don't care. I'm not sure who we are. Have a look.

Also, the Starlust Panty Raid started today so make sure you get practically naked and go look for roos. I did. Here's what I wore from Pig. Notice the shape? Yeeeaa, thats the big booty shape I made for the raid, it automatically makes roos like 100% hotter.

Rotten Toe makes tutu's for youyou and meme.

New tutus out from Rotten Toe called Scene Skull & Crossbones Tutu and Scene Starlette Tutu each 180L. Both versions come with two different styles like the dark version and the bright version. They also come with a resizer script and color changing script. You can change the color of the ribbon, the underlying mesh, the skulls and stars, and the mesh overlay. There are tons of colors to choose from so you could essentially wear this with any colored top. It's a good deal on a tutu you can get so much use out of. You can also add glow to the skirt for you ravers out there. These are really well made tutus, I should know, I have a lot of tutus. I went through a phase...don't ask. If you head there, make sure you check out the wall of deals. That's not the official name but that is what I am calling it. It's a bunch of really awesome outfits for really cheap. You'll find ballet outfits, lolita dresses, ringmaster pants and much more. The prices on the wall range from 20L to 50L. I think there might be one outfit that is 190L. Below is a couple tops I got from that section. They are called Infected Satin Shirt costing 30L each.

I'm gonna throw a new skin maker at you and I'm gonna throw some free skins at you and then I'm gonna throw skins that are on sale at you. Yea..take that!

New Skin Maker YoLo Skins. They are different..they have character. I like character moreover I like inexpensive skins. YoLo's are only 400L. This is the Yolo3 Blush and it comes with light and dark brows.

It's very unique, I've not seen anything like it in SL. I kind of feel like a jetson in it, I think the bustle gives it a some what futuristic vibe yet still having a retro feel to it, oxymoronic dressware!! It's the kind of dress that you could wear to any occasion I think. Survey says: Well done! I can easily see why this is the designers favorite outfit. It's fun and flirty and I certainly love it.

That's correct. I love the ladies over at Lara Skins. They have to be one of the most generous skin shops I've seen. I believe this makes the 3rd gorgeous skin I've purchased for zero lindens from them.

Hybie goes to Warholic Vampire * Vintage Love and comes out a winner!!!

I love to shop backwards. I type in a keyword and then go to the end of the list. I find the shops with the lowest traffic and hit those first. Several reasons of course, one being I like to support the small business owner and second it's possible not everyone will be walking around in the same outfit I just purchased.

Tonight was no different. I wanted to find some handpainted skins and I wanted to find a skin shop I've never been in before. Oh, I also wanted to find a place that didn't use another skin mods. Dog bless them but enough is enough already.

What did I find? Well I found a shop called Warholic Vampire * Vintage Love Main Store owned by LillyLoo Allen. The shop is just as it states, it has some gothic/vampire attire on one side, vintage/retro clothing on the other and smack dab in the middle it has skins.

I won this outfit called Bloody Lady in the lucky chair. The lucky chair that is set to only 2 mins making your odds of winning go up considerably. The prims on this outfit are modifiable and thats good cause it needed a little adjusting to fit right. You can find this for sale in the store too for only 150L.I kinda felt like Minnie Mouse in this vintage outfit called Vintage Love _Polka Muse aka Mrs. Dean. Oh this cute outfit was so cheap...like 50L cheap!!! Although the prim for the skirt is well, a little hard to work with. It moves all funky, I think it might be attached to the wrong spot or something. Anyways, there are other really cute and totally cheap retro outfits there too.So yea, the reason for the trip...the skin!!! This skin is called Dolly Blush. I like it, it's a nice soft skin, it's not overly realistic looking but it's also not that crayola skin we see so often. If I could change anything about it it would be the harsh shading around the nose and bridge of nose and possibly soften the shading around the lips too. Other than that, if you are looking for a nice cheap skin that isn't hardcore photorealistic...go to Warholic Vampire * Vintage Love and pick out a skin for only 199L. You dont get a choice in different makeups. The skins you see in the picture is the skin you are gonna get, you can't choose different eye shadows and lip color etcetc. But, in their defense, they have a lot of different makeup styles to choose from.

Fear and Loathing in Iowa

(author's note: read this blog while listening to Cyndi Lauper's the Goonies Are good Enough)

When you think of Iowa the terms to describe it often elude you. Fun and excitement are definately not words that come to mind; or at least I thought.

I was in search of a roller skating rink, what I found was far more exciting.

The bus dropped me off in front of Danny's Diner where apparently the local favorite is beer battered pickles and goat cheese. I recommend the ham and grits. As I left the diner I saw something I hadn't played since I was a kid...Twister!! Left foot red, right foot concrete! Twister only entertains you for so long so after about 190 seconds I decided I needed a cocktail. I strolled along looking at the shops, the tree, the cows and my life when I finally came to The Wild Rose Pub. I went in and was shocked that Iowa does in fact know how to make a tasty Red Headed Slut. After about two hours, I just couldnt take it anymore. I was tired, depressed, still in Iowa and for god's sake where in the hell was the roller rink?!?!

Staggering down the street I came to a bridge and I said to myself, this is it. I didn't see a rink anywhere and all this booze is clouding my judgement....I must jump!!! As I stood there about ready to leap into the water below I looked up and saw the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life!!!

HOLY SHIT!!!

GAMBLING!!!!







The answer to all of my problems. This was it! I no longer needed a roller rink. I had the World Famous Iowa Queen River Boat Casino .

So let this be a lesson to you, just because you can't find what you think you need in life, like a roller rink, doesn't mean that at the end of the day and 20 cocktails later something better and equally as enjoyable wont come along.
