ReplyDeleteWow this was fun!! I started with a bigger shape in SL, thinking it was a normal size. It was like 7'6" (lol). Although I've settled into my size, I really do like my shape more curvy. Here's mine!
ReplyDeletehttp://betterimagined.wordpress.com/2009/09/06/hybrids-blogger-challenge/
!!! you guys rock!!
ReplyDeleteHere is my take! :) Great challenge!!

=o nuuna I love it!!!!!
ReplyDelete@ lilian & Leilani- holy crap they are cute!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yea, my avie is soon to eat a few cheeseburgers herself. I've been a skinny avie for over a year now, it's time to get a lil chunk going.
Thank you for this challenge. It was honestly wonderful :)

Great post Nivaya and yes your shape looks cute as hell. You bring up a very good point, I think this is a market that is totally over looked. Maybe most of us stay in our rail avatars because it's the easiest thing to do. I can't think of too many places where I've had to downsize prims, I'm always making them bigger. And poses, yea, hardly any big girl poses. SL is not a place for the real world sized lady. Someone should change this.
ReplyDeleteVery bright idea!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the idea.
I love it.
Here is mine:

Well it's no challenge for me as I live my SL as a curvy/ larger avatar. So anyone interested in seeing my AV and my take on SL fashion, feel free to visit my blog anytime!
ReplyDeleteI commend everyone that has taken on the challenge and decided to step out of their normal AV size. I truly hope those participating in this challenge can TRULY see that beauty and style exist with AVs of any size!
I also hope that people who design or create content will gain an appreciation of what larger AVs go through in SL and look for ways to expand their market reach/ audience approach.

Hiya! This was such an awesome challenge! I did one for myself:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/letteponnier/3905458473/
and one for a friend who was struggling with hers, so I offered to give it a shot. I actually like hers a whole lot better than my own:

Hybrid, you inspired me to make my first ever shape! Just a subtley normal average everyday woman. Yay! http://bananavella.blogspot.com/2009/09/plus-size-of-sl.html

Wonderful challenge! This is the one that actually converted me from a lurker to a blogger myself!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the inspiration!
http://swaystyle.wordpress.com/2009/09/11/it-begins/
(While the seated position does seem to slim the avatar, it was quite generously proportioned...I hope this counts!)

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, this challenge opened my eyes too, I'm an now a chunky munkey in SL now and i love it!
Not quite as big as my challenge shape but still not the stick figure I was before. So look forward to seeing future blog post with my new chunky shape yay!
